Spreading Holiday Warmth, Volt Consulting MSP's Coat Drive Goes National

Second Annual Effort Supports National Charity One Warm Coat

Last year, Volt Consulting - Managed Service Programs employees in the New York metropolitan area collected in excess of 300 new or gently worn winter coats for the New York Cares annual holiday coat drive. This year, the company, with operations in 17 countries around the world, wanted to help provide relief to the less fortunate in areas beyond the Hudson River Valley. This holiday season, the New York-headquartered, human capital management solutions company has marshaled its forces around the US in support of the One Warm Coat organization.

“With so many of our professionals working on client sites across the country, we decided that we ought to involve everyone this year; not just those in and around New York” said Gino Hawley, Volt Consulting MSP's Director of Marketing.  Mr. Hawley explained that Volt Consulting MSP chose One Warm Coat because the non-profit’s widespread presence permitted Volt Consulting MSP employees stationed nationwide to participate. Hawley added, “With the rising numbers of foreclosures and layoffs during these tough economic times, we felt especially compelled to broaden our participation so we might help out in as many localities as we can.”

Similar to last year, Volt Consulting MSP has set up collection stations—large bins dressed up to look like festively wrapped holiday presents—in its corporate headquarters on Madison Ave and its parent company, Volt Information Sciences’ headquarters on Lexington Ave in Manhattan, as well as locations in New Jersey, Colorado, Texas, Ohio and other client facilities where Volt Consulting MSP personnel work from coast to coast.
